Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
And also, too, to help you to know,
That in knowing you, many others grow!
Don't do it. He's not your little toy to decorate to the level of cuteness that YOU like. He is his own person and should be allowed to grow up and have some choices for himself.
I appreciate your comment ethmer but I am not using him as a little toy at all, he is his own person but then again that's just like saying he cant wear a baby bangle becuase he might not like bangles, or not to have a lime green pushchair like he has because he wont like limegreen. if he doesnt like it when he gets a little older it can come out and WILL heal!! Its not exactly a tattoo. My nephew and lots of my cousins who are from newborn-2 all have there ears pierced and none of them have a problem

You would be "branding" him and he would have to live with it and allow it to be part of what formats his being until he reaches an age of maturity (probably around 11 to 13) where he could decide for himself.
What's next, are you going to pierce his tongue because some members of society may find that cute and he would suffer less by having it done now rather than when he get older. He can always remove it and let it heal when he gets older!
That's just pathetic really isn't it! I'm not doing it becuase other people may think its cute, I personally do, he is getting it done Monday anyway, I only really posted this question to see if anyone had had bad experiences of it infecting etc. Thanks anyway but he will be having it done monday despite how anyone chooses to disagree!!
As for the infection part, I've known a lot of babies that have had their ears pierced when they were about 2 months and as long as you take care of it, it shouldn't get infected. My daughter had hers done when she was three and I wish I would of gotten it done earlier because she picked and pulled at them a lot. Normally infants don't do that.

My son is 2months as most of you know, im thinking about having his left ear pierced, just a tiny diamond stud nothing huge, tacky or chavvy, personally I think it will look really cute. What do you guys think?
