yeah, like she said^^^

whenever it is plugged into a new computer, it has to take all the songs off and start over. and the reason for that is, itunes would not be making a profit if it didn't make you start over. because for example, I could have 10 songs that I paid 10 dollars for on my ipod, then just decide to go over to my friends house and just add all of her songs from her computer to my 10 songs, and go to another friend and add all of HER songs that SHE bought and just keep adding in songs that OTHER people bought/downloaded. it's a business, the gotta make money, and they can't do that if the whole world was sharing their itunes and trading songs with their friends. sorry if that..hardly makes sense lol. it sucks though. all I can suggest is.. that you download however many songs your itunes/limewire can store, and then add those into your empty ipod, then DELETE all the songs on your itunes/limewire, and then download a bunch of different songs onto your itunes/limewire, and then put THOSE on your ipod, and just repeat the process until you have all the songs you want I guess. :|

connect your ipod to your computer, then the itunes will cameup, DO NOT SYNC. Choose Manually..click your ipod's name in the middle leftside of your itunes, click MyMusic and simply drag and drop your music there.
