Soft or soda drinks?

I have got confused of : what is the difference between soft drinks and soda drinks?

They're the same thing, but different countries call them different things. I think some people even call them fizzy drinks.

They are exactly the same, but some people call them different things. I've heard people say soda, pop, fizzy drinks, and soft drinks.
