Social security are we required to pay it?

Are we required by law to pay it??
What if I dont plan on living long enough to collect anything from it.

well the government doesnt care, they are like doctors, they like watching us lesser people cry and squirm whilst they reap the benefits.

Techincally, your employer is required to withhold it and pay it for you. If you are not employed, then no.

Actually, if you have a job - you don't have a choice, it's taken out before you get paid. There are a few exceptions, such as medical doctors and some teachers, but then they can never get the benifits either.
