Is it ok to cry over a guy if they're tears of joy?

So the saying goes a guy who makes you cry isn't worth your tears....well what if the only reason you cry over the guy is because he is so sweet and makes our heart melt ....I would say he is worth crying over then don't you think.....
my boyfriends...

fills me with happiness and hope that well be together a long time
sometimes he makes me cry because he is being so sweet........I think he is totally worth crying for, but only in they are tears of joy not sadness

It may be true, but why don't you choose laughing or smiling or feeleing happyness, if you have such a nice b/f? I think it would be more adequate than crying..wouldn't it?
