How can I get my parents to like my boyfriend?

Me and my boyfriend have been dating a year now. I don't know if you've been through what situation I've been through but my parents can't stand the ground my boyfriend walks on. They totally hate him. They don't want me dating him which I am. I'd say...

you know how it feels to love someone so.. put yourself in my shoes. *parents wont let you date your guy. *they hate him. *they wont let you date him. what should I do???

How old are U? Ateenager should probebly trust their parents. Love can not be found when you're that young as you're still trying to find yourself. Focus on your schooling as your parents are not going to be around forever and you need to think about YOUR life. Guys come and go but make sure you're taken care of. Only you can do that.

The exact same thing happened to me. Only we were dating for a year and a half. My parents and whole family loathed my boyfriend. My mom decided to try to move me away to see if I would get it through my head he was a bad person. After a mont h at my new house, on of my friends called me and told me that my boyfriend had cheated on me with my mortal enemy! Literal enemy. She made my life a living hell. So trust your parents. Like jamie said, focus on school and other things.

It could be that your parents aren't ready to let go of their little girl. (You will ALWAYS be their little girl - it doesn't matter if you're 40!) OR, you might consider that they know you better than anyone else, and they might see something in him that's not right for you. Rather than spend a lot of time fighting your parents, take a really good look at your relationship and ask yourself if there are things about it that you wish were different. If he treats you like a queen (as you should be treated!) then your parents might just be having a hard time with you having a boyfriend, no matter who it is. If you're under the age of 18 and living in their house you probably aren't ready to be so serious and they still have the last word (sorry!!!!)

Just because we are teens that dont give a parent to pick who we like or wont to date. Because they think the no everthing. But it's 2007 and they dont. Thats why we sneak and do many things

Well my girlfrineds parents wont let me see her.I've been dating for 2 years all of a sudden they wont let me see her talk to her are anything.im 15 and shes 15 where going to wait it out.if your boyfriend loves you as much as I love my girlfriend they just wait are go sneak out and see him.parents sometimes dont know whats there talking about.
