Should smoking be allowed in video games?

I think smoking in video games is as bad as it would be in movies. Video games reach as many people as movies do, and often times, the audience is even younger, which would make this a more evil practice than if it was in a movie, because younger audiences tend to be more impressionable.

I have to agree, that since smoking is not allowed on the tv or in a great deal of movies,
then it should not be permitted in video games.
Smoking, as a whole, serves no purpose other then to deplete your lung resources
and screw up the air for others who do not smoke.

I don't think that smoking should be allowed in video games. Smoking is so incredibly bad for people, so I don't understand why anyone would want to promote it by having a video game character take part in it. It is not appropriate. Unfortunately, I'm sure many parents do let their children play games in which the characters smoke.
