yes talk to your doctor first, somethings that you should try is sleeping on your left side this will reduce the stress on your vena cava and allow for more blood flow to the baby and relieve any pressure on the back but tuck some pillows at your back to help keep you in that position. You can also try warm milk, a long warm (not hot) bath, or asking your partner for a massage. Don't have a tv or pets in the bed these can cause sleeping problems as well. If you try these things with no success talk to your doctor about other relief measures or possible prescribing you something. Good Luck
As the other posters have said, you should definitely check with your physician first as every pregnancy is different, but with that said, I've known a couple of women who have swore by it during their pregnancy. As with most things, it's probably fine in moderation, especially if you are past the first trimester.
Give your physician's office a quick call, as there may be concerns with your pregnancy that others may not have had, but I would imagine that he or she will tell you that its fine and is in fact it is a much better alternative to over the counter sleep aids.
