Sleeping problems

Asked by fau 6 months ago, 8 answers.

I've been having trouble sleeping, for a long time now. I've been falling asleep around 5am. I just cannot sleep at all, not even if I take sleeping pills. I try everything. I dont know what to do, its really starting to effect me though. Getting 3 hours...

of sleep every night for months takes its toll on me. Are there any suggestions on what I should do to get to sleep? Its killing me, im so tired right now, but I know as soon as I get in bed and lie there, I wont be able to fall asleep for at least another 5 hours. Help?

I find that taking Melatonin is all I need to get to sleep. I take it right when going to bed and am usually asleep within 15 to 30 minutes. It's a natural hormone of the body which allows us to sleep. You can get it at any Health Food or Vitamin store.

I've heard melatonin works too... if not, talk to your doctor, s/he may prescribe something stronger...

Melatonin may work but 'sleeping' pills will only last a few hours. You'll get to sleep but won't be able stay asleep.

You could have something called Sleep Apnea. It depends on the problems you're having when trying to sleep.

I was having problems and went to a place where they do sleep studies. You go and spend the night . They put these electrode things on you (doesn't hurt) and you're monitored all night. I learned that I have sleep Apnea and was put on a machine called a Bi-Pap. It helps you to breathe correctly. I love mine. I get the best sleep.

Here is a website that you can go to to learn more. You'll have to copy and paste

thanks. but the thing is, I dont want to go to a doctor because I dont want my parents to know, and worry and everything. and I dont want them to have to buy my sleeping pills or anything either. budget is tight enough, they dont need me needed more things.
and im not trying mas*urbat*on, thats kinda weird. I mean, I know there are people that do that stuff, and thats cool for them, but I dont do that. I would feel weird doing that.

but thanks everyone
