What's up with my sleeping issues?

Roy Mustang ^^ Asked by cody_aka_toni about 1 year ago, 5 answers.

Okay, I'm a 15 almost 16 year old girl, and I'm having some really bad sleep issues. It's been happening for quite a while, but now it's getting a bit annoying.. For starters, I can't sleep at night. It doesn't matter if I woke up at 5 am or noon, I...

cannot fall asleep until after 3, sometimes 4 in the morning. Also, I can't function on the standard 7-8 hours of sleep. If I get anything over 5 hours of sleep I am overly tired... To the opposite of that, there will be times when I'm perfectly awake and doing stuff then all the sudden, I'm hit with a wave of tiredness and pass out... I've done that school quite a few times, and then it happen just Wednesday while I was playing videogames at my friends house.. so.. yeah... any advice?

Hm,Try Going to bed earlier,and waking up earlier.
Your body will get used to it.
Maybe your not sleeping,because your worrying about somehting?
Clear your mind.
Try writing about your thoughts before you go to sleep./
it might help clear your mind.

Also;;Drink tea before bed,and try not to eat up to an hour before you go to sleep.

if you sitll cant sleep,you may suffer form insomnia;;
ask a parent or doctor.

Belive it or not you may not need as much sleep as some one else. . . but try this take a couple of tylenal or aleve before going to bed. . .Discomfort may be keeping you from sleeping right. . . . if you notice this helps Tell your doctor. But I really suggest seeing a doctor. . . Sleeping disorders are not to be taken lightly. . .
I've noticed I have a sleeping disorder too. . . I need to turn the computer off. . . . . .

I am 16. And I have this problem too. Yesterday I had to get up at 10:00 (I went to sleep at 6 am) (because I cant fall asleep no matter what) to take my puppy to the vet because he was sick. And I only had four hours of sleep and you think I would be REALLY tired that night but I naturally stayed up until 4:30! And I wasn't even tired. I don't get it. But I can sleep forever somedays. Last night I went to bed around 4 and didn't fall asleep until like 5:30... I know that's horrible, but I can't help it. Today I got up at 4 pm. And I only got up because my mom yelled upstairs to me and said are you even up? I was like um... no. She was like OMG Chelsea you need to change your hours before school starts. AND I could of slept longer, but I knew I had to get up. So I did, but if she wouldn't of called me I wouldn't of woke up for a while yet. BUT ANYWAYS what you should do is get off the computer about 30 minutes before you go to bed... this tells your brain to relax and wind down for the night. Same goes for t.v. You should either read or take a shower before bed and it should help at least. Good luck!
