Anything that isn't loud or have high energy is good to sleep to. A lot of doctors recommend nature sounds or the sound of static; something that has a constant rhythm to it.
Personally, I listen to a lot of ambient and trance music for when I go to sleep every night. I also listen to Steve Reich's music. He produces these strangely soothing classical-trance like tracks.
I wouldn't recommend Marylin Manson and that stuff, just because certain songs end softly and start out loud and listening to one can actually startle you awake.
I usually turn on "soundscapes" (one of the music channels on my cable)
or go to http://www.accuradio... and play some "textures"
They are usually new age-y type music but it's really soothing.
I also like to listen to rain forest sounds and waves crashing.
