Sister steals food

When I try to bake or cook something, my sister stands around in the kitchen the whole time and steals whatever she can. she steals my cookie dough, shell take the ingredients for what im making or the finished product (she'll take the salad veggies while im making the salad, or take chunks off the cake, or take icing straight off the cake!!!). I have told my mom and she doesnt care, she joins in sometimes!!! Shes like well youre in my kitchen so she can take some food. It might not seem like a big deal, but its all the time and it really aggrivates me, and then I get in trouble for yelling at her!!! Shes ten, turning eleven in october, so shes old enough to know better!!! Help me!!!

LOL I can see how that's annoying. I have a friend who thinks nothing of standing by the counter when I'm carving a roast, and helping herself to tidbits, crispy bits, etc. I think it's rude. Your sister's still young though and she probably really looks up to you especially that you can prepare meals and cook. Can you try making a little extra as you're preparing and put them in a bowl just for her? Also maybe give her some little jobs, not cutting and slicing but getting pretty dishes ready or washing veg, helping in ways that she might feel grown up?

This is pretty normal for siblings. The fact that you let her know that it bothers you so much has made it THAT much more fun. I would take her asside before you cook and be very serious. Tell her that it bothers you when she does this and you would appreciate her absence in the kitchen. If she doesn't threaten to put all of your energy into irritating her. Then you have to follow through with your threats. You have to show her that the consequences are not worth the enjoyment she gets out of it.

Good Lord, I hatehatehate when people even look into my kitchen when I'm cooking,let alone actually take my stuff and get in my way.

I feel for you.
But it is your mothers house so you are limited to what you can do.
Try pulling out extra stuff (veggies, cake frosting, dough ect) just for her. Because you know she's going to take your stuff anyways.
This way you can set the stuff aside and stop her before she gets handys with your food and give her the extras.

OR
Get a water gun and shoot her evertime she walks by.

Well, rather than fighting her about it, offer it to her while saying "here ya go piggy. come feed at the trough little piggy. Does little fat piggy want more?"

most of the time, good old fashioned violence solves your problems. don't kill her...just rough her up a bit. other non-lethal problem solvers include chocolate laxatives or epikak. she'll stop, I guarantee it.

that happens to me ALL the time exept not only my little sister does it. my uncle bill, mom, dad, aunt tonya, lil brother, AND dogs

That happens to me all the time. And I have 4 siblings. It really sucks... But all I can say is, just yell at her and see what happens. Maybe she'll stop or maybe she won't. But there's always chances.

If you are having a hard time dealing with it now then I suggest you never have kids,lol Once you have kids you will never have an entire plate of food belong to you without fingers being in it,lol

Haha I dealt with exactly that today.
Im a bit crude but heres what happened. Not that I recommend it.
She came in (I was making muffins) and kept dipping her finger in the mixture, taking choc chips and so on. At first I just said "Hey, don't I neded those." She kept doing it and I told her "Just F*CK OFF!!" she carried on and then I went beserk and yelled it as loud as I could (pretty loud) and threatened her with a wooden spoon and glared at her. She left.

Sometimes violence is the answer lol!

I guess you could tell her dont go in the kitchen or dont steal my baking or whatever and that if she does she wont get any. My sister though would just grab some anyway.
