I think if you are able to built a carreer you are also able to decide INSTEAD of your parents in any question that touch you... ..it is funny your parents want to decide who to make love with...isnt it? ))

I think it all depends on your culture and traditions, if you chose to have boyfriends will your family be ok with it? Some people don't mind if their parents chose their children's companion. It doesn't seem you mind, but I think you should also have a career, you never know if in the future you'll have to take care of yourself and need to work. Also if you get a companion wouln't he let you have a career? If he wouldn't then you should learn some skills for the "just in case" in the future. Best wishes ...

Go out, read many advices and books, but get an outgoing life first, make more friends and things will come by themselves. It's better for you to find somebody, not your parents.
