You have more chance of winning the lottery. A career in the entertainment business is not just sitting there waiting for you to finish a college course. It's a crapshoot and you are one of millions trying to do the same thing. Sorry... but some of us learn the hard way that the cream doesn't always rise to the top. My advice is to get yourself a stable career and work at that while you're trying to become an entertainer.

But jason, if you DO have formal training, the question still stands... who would hire you? Can you maybe look into applying to a school like Juliard, in NY? The tuition fees would be much higher for you coming frm Canada but it;'s one of the best art/music schools around. There is one in Boston too - Berklee, mainly for music but I haven't heard much good about the graduates getting work in their fields, and the tuition costs are way out of line.

Jason,
Call your music teacher from high school..or a music teacher from a college that you know of. Ask them your question..I am sure they will put you on the right track.

Look online for some performing schools around your area. Also, get an agent if you want to be famous.
