how do I find the items to decorate the stage? have been stuck on this section for 3 months now getting frustrated help

You could try going to your favorite search engine and enter 'URBZ discussion board'.

Or, instead of going away from FunAdvice, you could just search for "Urbz stage" in the search bar at the top right-hand of your screen.

It would bring you to this question and answer:

"First find/buy 5 items like plants and trinkets like a lawn gnome...or things your friends give you after they come to your house. Then just go up to the stage and put all the items on the stage. After that you have to attend the play."
