Sims 2 free time

After I installed Free Time, my Sims can no longer make money. Their salary every day shows up as -30,000 or something similar. What's going on, and how can I fix it?

try control - Shift then c at the same time type in "Motherlode"

Well, I don't really want to give them an extra 50,000 because the game is being stupid. Is there a patch or something that would fix it?

yes there is a patch that just came out its cheap or even free that fixes the problem

Sims has always displayed random glitches but if you are willing to install then you must be willing to get EAs trojan Virus but like mentioned above a patch will sort it out.
