well I have a sidekick as a gift but I want to connect it with a prepaid plan. uhm I understand that I only need the (prepaid) sim card . Do they only sell the prepaid sim card for...

I spoked with T-Mobile, A representative informed me that, even with having the Sidekick Plan. You still have to have a Sim Card to do this, & Yes they sell them! I would encouraged you to contact them for further information.
