Should obama be president?

Thunder Robot Asked by funadvice 3 months ago, 13 answers.

How should Obama be the president of the united states when he refuses to put his hand over the bible?
We are one nation under GOD
HE wont even put his hand over his heart for the pledgeof allegience!
Our men are fighting for our freedom and he cant take 15 seconds to put his hand over his heart. He refuses to do patriotic things and there are so many people voting for him. and HE should be the president of the United States?

Send this to a friend

With such an ignorant and complacent voters, it will be a surprise if we ever get a decent president again. Please stop asking these dumb questions over and over.

Check your facts...see the history lesson there? We've only had the GOD bit in there for 50 ish years...for longer than that, the god bit *wasn't* there.

So...for the guy who pays attention to history (Obama) it's a problem that he thinks the Christian, god fearing person who wrote the pledge got it right when *not* including a reference to a diety?

In other words: the Christian that wrote the pledge was WRONG and should have included some religious bits...when in fact, the constitution of our country says we're supposed to have separation of church & state?

Not to mention *several* presidents were sworn in without a bible in their hand...

...so, I'm confused: why is this a problem or an issue?

much2luv, you have much2learn. Nothing you stated in this 'question' is true. You need to learn things for yourself and not rely on information from chain emails being sent around the internet.

The statement that he doesn't touch the bible ISN'T EVEN TRUE.

Someone else on this site had a similar misconception and loads of hateful things to say about him being President. Check out the debate ,there are plenty of FACTS there to educate you.

A quote from Obama about the rumors: 'Let's make clear what the facts are: I am a Christian. I have been sworn in with a Bible. I pledge allegiance [to the American flag] and lead the pledge of allegiance sometimes in the United States Senate when I'm presiding.'

From the website PolitiFact:

'Two press reports from Obama's swearing-in ceremony in January 2005 mention specifically that Obama took the oath of office by placing his hand on his own copy of the Bible. The Barack Obama campaign also confirmed that it was a Bible and that the book belonged to Obama. Vice President Di*k Cheney, in his role as president of the Senate, administered the oath.'

Will a photo help? Note Cheney's smile.

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Apr 30, 2008, 10:09PM

jaes it doesn't matter if the person is white or black there going to do the same damn sh*t and destroy this country . I mean I kinda understand were your coming form but even if a black person becomes president its not going to help. and then I guarantee before we know it we are going to have a racial battle becuase people are stupid idiots who are blind and don't give a sh*t about anything but themselves and what there opinion of right is. and this country will fall, becuase we will all be divided even further.

(and im not singling you out) I just don't understand what a black persons is going to do differently.

in my opinion, anybody that is endorsed by Jane Fonda, as he is, certainly does not have the best interests of the American people at heart - plus his demonstrated not-so Wright judgement capability - definite Red Flags.

In my opinion, anyone that thinks that a Jane Fonda endorsement means you don't have the best interests of the American people at heart is completely out of touch with reality.

If the Wright issue raises red flags for Obama, I can only assume Pastor Hagee and Pastor Parsley raise the same flags for Old Man McCoot.
