Should I lose weight?

Asked by fau 10 months ago, 8 answers.

I'm 15 and I weight 95-100 pounds. I'm getting pressure form a lot of people to lose weight and I feel like I'm not perfect enough for anybody else. should I lose weight? or not?
I'm really confused.

You're 15 years old. Have you ever heard of Anorexia and Bulimia? Many people with these disorders started out with someone telling them that their bodies weren't good enough. You said that you may not be perfect for anyone else. You're young, your body isn't even finished doing its thing.
You have to feel good about your own body and about who you are. Don't try to become someone that you are not because others are trying to make you into other versions of THEMSELVES. If you were overweight and at risk for health issues, your doctor would tell you. You have to be content or satisfied with you. Don't let people push you around. Take control and stand up for YOURSELF. Don't be a follower, be a leader.
Eat healthy and exercise. Do Not Diet unless you are under the care/direction of your doctor.
Get involved in school sports.
AND You don't need friends that want to make you into them or that want to change you. Be yourself and hang in there.

It's not your weight that needs work, it's your self esteem. It took me YEARS to finally like who I am! Why waste that time? Love yourself now! It's time to stop listening to the people who are trying to cut you down. If anything 100 pounds is a little small for your age. My 12 year old daughter just hit 100 pounds recently. I must say, she is absolutely beautiful.

We are not cookie cutter people! You've received good advice from the posters above. I hope you take it to heart. Eat healthy. Get some exercise and fresh air. Think positive thoughts, hang out with positive people.

Look for self indulgence somewhere else. You know good and well that you are not fat. It's people like you that waste my valuable time.
