Are you ready to have a baby (sex even when careful, can lead to pregnancy)? Do you know for sure he is the one? Would you be emotionally prepared if you had sex with him and he left you? Are you willing to give up your virginity before marriage? Do you love him? Is he pressuring you?
If you are truly ready to have sex, then go ahead. Just make sure you know the consequences and you are careful.

My advice though is since you cut yourself there are issues in your life and possibly you dont love your self. I believe you should love yourself before letting someone else love you.
First figure out and fix what is making you cut so you know forsure your not doing it out of anger, or depression becuase then you will most likly regret it.

In order not to freeze up you need to make sure your comfortable with it, go with the flow try oral sex first like let him finger you and if you dont feel comfortable with that then maybe the sex should wait untill you are.
