Everyone makes bad/stupid decisions in life. I sure do not want to be judged by those mistakes if I have learned from them. Ask yourself - is he doing his best to lead a good and moral life, care about others, and remorseful for his past mistake? Think of it this way - if DUI's were a felony and you by chance got drunk and decided to drive you would be a felon. We all make mistakes and do stupid things finding out way in life. it's the lessons we learn that is important. (one of Jesus' apostle"s was a murderer before he became a changed man0)
