Should I give myself a haircut?

Instead of going to the barbershop every two weeks (my hair grows fast) should I just buy the razor machine thingy and cut it myself in the bathroom? It's really simple to cut mine, just short all around. No fancy crap. This way it'll save some money too...

My mum, who has short hair, has cut her own hair since she was in her 20s. People keep stopping her and asking her if they can have the name of her hairdresser! You can learn to cut your own hair fairly easily, so long as you have a simple style, as you say.

I have been giving myself buzz cuts for over 10 years. Since I drive a converable it is the only practical haircut for me. Whle good clippers are expensive they last for years and rapidly pay for themself.

Fillet, is your self-portrait inaccurate? I had assumed from it that you didn't really need a hair cut...

I just cut my own hair and I love it! I just used fabric scizzors... justt dont cut the bottom or give yourself a trim because ull get it uneven. just do tons of layers.

I don't have much hair on top, just the sides. I keep the sides buzzed pretty short and I buzz off the fuzz on top.

It isn't a self-portrait, I've never been able to draw or paint worth a darn. My wife drew this on my whiteboard and I kept it up for years and when I lost my office I photographed it so I'd have it forever. I reduced it to 2 colors and downsampled it for my profile pic.

Pretty good likeness, I'd say my face is a little narrower and now I wear rectangular rather than round glasses.

Ahh... Thanks for the explanation. The drawings done of me by my family would not be my first choice! Sometimes you realise that all small children see of you is your nostrils!
