Should I get married right after graduation or wait?

Dancin ain't easy Asked by jodysgirl about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

I have been with this guy for almost 3 years. We have been living together for 2 years and we are supposed to get married. I got the engagement ring and everything already. Should we get married or wait a few more years?

Dear jodysgirl,
It said graduation in your title. I know you guys have been together for a long time but things after graduation will change a lot. For some having a long engagement is good and in your case I would suggest waiting to marry till you both have settled with good jobs or choose for extended educations. Wait it out a little while longer and see what changes occur and see how this affects your relationship.
Sue...good luck

If you feel this isnt the right time for you to get married and you want to wait a few years then thats your choice. If you feel you arnt ready emotionally, or finiancially then talk it over with your fiance and see what his opinion is.

Wait...you will not be the same person at 30, or even 25 that you are now...you will both change and evolve. You don't want to wake up at 40 to a stranger, and have to deal with all the bad things that go with that. Of course, no one can tell you what to do, because you will do what you want. Just remember me when you turn 40, and this advice that I've given you.
