Should I get branded?

My fiance wants us to get each others names tattooed on each other. I'm totaly up for it because origanly it was all my idea, and now he is extremely into it. Every one I talk to is warning me against it. They all say its bad karma and crap but he...

does'nt believe in karma or any superstitous stuff. He thinks the whole concept is stupid. What do you guys think?

I don't believe in bad luck... lol... I have dogtags with my husbands(he is in the army) name in them on my forarm. He has my name in the same spot. We have been married for 4 years and have been very happy. I told him he can never divorce me now... lol. People are going to give you crap about it but do what you want!

I think the tattoo thing is very endering but to me getting someone's name tattooed seems tacky.

I am getting a tattoo with the lattitude and longitude of where me and my boyfriend first met, so it's special to our relationship but doesn't look like I'm cattle that was branded.

We also decided that one day when we get married it will be rings tattooed on our ring fingers, instead of tradition wedding bands.

And we also both really like Alex Grey's art and the concept of "the third eye" and we're both going to get similar tattoos.

I don't believe in any bad karma or anything either and a tattoo is a very personal thing so whatever you want you should get regardless of what anyone says.

No, because what if you guys get a divorce or something happens? Not saying it will..but just thinking realisticly. because then you will be stuck with it all your life.

Well I thought about the divorce thing too, but the way I think of it is that he's my first love and husband. And one day he'll be the father of my kids. Divorce or not, he'll always be apart of my life and a great chapter of it.

Amen alexanrarz! I never dated anyone before my husband and don't plan on ever getting a divorce! I know things happen but we have been together through so much that I just don't ever see us apart. His name on me will only remind me of our time together and of the love we had! And I don't think my tattoo is tacky... lol.
