Should I dye my hair?

My hair is a medium brown color with natural blonde highlights. I want to dye my hair a golden blonde color. I have never dyed or hightlighted my hair before. Should I do it?

Why?

I know how you feel! my hair is like a weird dark blonde and im really fed up of it because I never know whether to say its blonde or brown or what and have felt like dying it like really blonde.

what I would do is just get like a wash-in-wash-out hair dye just to see what it looks like and dont worry this wont harm your hair so you can try diff shades and stuff until you find the right one for you. if you like it try get the same shade in perminent but this is where the problem occures because perminent dyes can damage your hair. however I did recently see an advert for a perminent dye which doesnt harm your hair but im afraid I don't know how good it is. also the other problem comes when your hair starts growing so you'd have to keep dying it regularly but try it! good luck and tell me how it goes!
