Should I be involved in class act?

Help!
so I have been talking with my bff. she is in class act (drama club) they have a summer shakespeare program where all the class act members come and learn a play than perform it. she keeps trying to get me involved! I actually kinda want to do it...

too. but see I hate being the new girl so to speak and im scared if I go than everybody wont want to talk to me and wont be my friend and they will think im just some inexperianced person. im really scared to be the new kid at this. I wudnt want to act either so I wud be doing ttech stuff like designing the sets and stuff so that wud be fun. should I go for it and join or just kinda sit back and enjoy my friends doing it? I need to no by tonite what I shud do! I want to do it but what if I am the loser new kid that doesnt no anyone? and what if I dont like it and stuff! help I don't know what to do!

OMG sooo do it. I've been invovled in a lot of artistic shows. its a great chance to socialize, meet new people, and get noticed. I would highly suggest it. good luck.

If you seem nervous and really shy when you go, it will probably be harder to make friends. It is a lot easier when you are confident and happy, it is easier for people to become your friend that way.
Besides, whenever there is a new girl at a club I go to, everyone is dying to be their friend!
Don't worry. It would be good to try acting, it lets you show your personality and you have a topic to talk about with other people.
