I wouldn't be, I've been flying at least two or three times a year for the past three years, and at least once a year before that for the past ten or so...when you consider a plane is safer than going on the freeway...well, it makes you relax quite a bit (at least it works for me).

a plane is safer than the freeway? whoa, I didn't know that!! :]

anyway, planes are totally nothing to be scared of. unless you are utterly terrified of your ears popping. haha!! they are completely safe and crashes happen HARDLY EVER. RARELY. NEVER-ISH.

Statistically, you are more likely to die in a car crash on the way to the airport than on the plane.

Everyone talks about the "its safer then driving" concept but it is understandable to be skittish about flying. I have never been on a plane - but I'm also not a fan of not having the ability to move from a space and once you are in the air its kinda hard to get down until the plane lands.

So, my advice is don't worry about if you should be scared or not instead if you are scared find out why and see if you can do something about it.

I've been on a plane a couple of times. I don't know if you live in the US, but if you do, riding airplanes is quite safe. There are many saftey regulations and emergency procedures so that if something bad does happen it can be fixed. As of being afraid of heights, you don't even notice that you are up in the air. It doesn't even feel like you are moving.

No, you should not be scared. I live on Curacao, an island in the Carribean, and all my family lives in Holland. So every summer (and sometimes also in the winter) I go to Holland per plane. And thats 9 hours flying! I also go to America at least once a year, so I travel a lot. And I love planes!
