Should i take some of my dad's xanax?

should I take a half of my dads xanax? he has a little bottle of xanax that are chopped in half and smaller for when somebody needs it to calm down. they are prescribed to him because he has anxiety and depression. I also have the same thing. and...

right now im so damn stressed and my anxiety is bothering the crap outta me. I cant go to sleep. I just want to calm down. I've tried everything my "talking doctor" has told me to do.

I wouldnt suggest that, although you have the same thing, taking things that arnt prescribed to you can be dangerouse, ask the doctor to prescribe you some perhaps or tey som other pills thats work
also just try laying in bed and resting, even if you dont go to sleep, at least you rested
the more times you do it the more your body will adapt to it, and youll start to go to sleep earlier

If you have similar problems as your Dad, I think you should talk to him about seeing a therapist that can prescribe medication, as he has obviously done. Then maybe you can get your own, doctor supervised prescription, which is much healthier and safer. (Especially when considering dosages).
