Shining the leaves of a rubber tree plant

I have heard that you can use either milk or mayonnaise to shine the leaves of your rubber tree plant. Is this ok?

Hi ,

Mayonnaise is used by some to shine leaves. NO!!! It is not good for it. Just wipe of the leaves with a soapy dishcloth then if you want a shine polish them with a dry soft rag like an old diaper or piece of sheet.
