Both my girls started at 10. They use Nair. Now they are 13 and shave with a razor.
You have to pick and choose your battles
Let her do this a few years earlier then you did no need to have her feel that way,,,
Its the things about staying out late and parties and the wrong people and boy friends that shouldnt be done early
I started shaving around 6th grade and it was only the bottom half of my legs (I had P.E./// OR a physical education class) lol
my hair way blonde and light so you couldnt really see it ,,, it still made me feel so weird and bad about my self
As long as she doesnt see it as a way of conforming or falling every one else
I wanted to shave mine when I went into high school and my mom wouldnt let me, I hated it because I was dark so the hair stood out, and in gym class I felt so embarrassed because most of the girls shaved their legs, I think I was about twleve when I started shaving them, if she's embarrassed about them and wants to shave them I think you should let her, (:
let her, I say that only because everyone else she knows does it. Its inevitable to not let her. I shaved my legs at 12 when I joined cheer leading classes and it made me fit in better. Its sad to say but true. Besides, she will eventually, its better to let her trail and error now than to wait until she either does it herself like the last post or ends up being made fun of at practice. Nair can irritate young girls skin, make sure she tests it first if she wants to use nair.
Yes I think you should let her use Nair on her legs because she would feel a bit uncomfortable and maybe a little embarresed if some of the cheerleaders notice it. But you know generations do change so I don't think it'll be a big problem. But hey you are the mom so you have the last call anyway. But like hypergirlgx stated to you some girls are sensitive to nair so becareful.
yes you would not want your daughter to be made fun of like you were.
but remember if you choose yes be there for the first timee and make sure she is carefull and doesnt cut herself if she is using s razor=](and I am a cheerleader and until I started shaving I was embarresesd of the hairson my legs)
