sniper training, extremely reliant on observation skills, if you can detect anything manmade on an enemy, or counter sniper, it can save your life and your mission.
while hunting I am completely focused, looking for a tail hanging off a branch, a sun gleam off a tine in the bushes, etc. hunting is all about seeing before being seen.
not to mention various jobs- the plastic industry is very reliant on observing defects to prevent them from being passed to the customer, basically all factory work is that way.
policemen have to be very observant- for obvious reasons.
airplane pilot, driving a motor vehicle, etc.
basically anything we do on a daily basis requires good observation skills.
even spotting a good deal at a sale in a store- you need observation skills to catch what the price is, and the item as well.
being a body guard is probably the foremost activity needing excellent observation skills- your client is paying you to keep them out of harms way.
