How did my screen name become my best friend on aim?

Well yesterday I was board so I typed a random screen name into the add a buddy thing on AIM. I really didn't expect anything to happen, but it turns out it was real. I looked on the buddy info and it had my screen name and then it said 'my screen name is my best friend .' I don't know how this person got my screen name and it's kinda weird. I don't know what to do.

well contact the people in charge of AIM and tell them what happened.

lol no silly bear. theres this thing you type in it's '%n' and when you type that in to your buddy info it automatically displays the screen name of whoever is looking at it.

so this person had on their buddy info:
'%n is my best friend'
don't worry I've been fooled that way too :]

try it out if you want, just type in '%n' anywhere in your AIM buddy profile, it works. :]

Dont worry this nothingg to worry about. there is this thing you can do in your buddy info that makes your sn show up in there buddy info when you view it.
when you type %n in your buddy info along with a phrase the viewers sn shows up for example I could type:
%n rox mii sox and your sn would show up if you looked at my buddy info

Don't worry, what this is is that if a person type %n in there buddy info it makes who ever views its screen appear there, that is why your screen name came up. No worries!
