I think our country is tired of republicans - but the democratic party isn't looking promising either. It's going to be a very close election.

I think democrat because even lots of republicans are very opposed to President Bush right now, therefore they may not even want another republican in office

Democrat. Because Americans need to get one in office so he can grant more military spending and increase numbers in the military because Bush cut it. And if it keeps going like that, other countries are going to look at that and start thinking 'Hmm, the U.S. is looking a little weak in the military department. Better strike while the irons hot.' Thats why I believe the Twin Towers were attacked. Because though a Democrat, he cut military spending and numbers. Why? To balance the budget. But regardless of his reasoning, he did it and we suffered for it.
Well, I dont think I answered your question, but I told you why I think we should have a Democrat President.

Right now it looks like a Democrat will win. Over the years I've learned to never underestimate the ability of the Democratic party to self-destruct. I'm just wondering what the Democrats will do between now and election day to shoot themselves in the foot.

If you go to http://www.pollingreport.com you see the latest poll results if different Repubs and Dems were to run against each other. It's interesting.

Based on that poll data, McCain trumps either Obama or Clinton, but both Clinton and Obama trump Huckabee. I think John McCain is the Republican Party's best hope of winning the presidency in 2008, while I think either Obama or Clinton have a good shot of beating anyone else.

Obviously this is current polling data, very speculative and subject to change.

As someone who lives outside the US, myself and most of the people I know hope that the US will have a Democrat President - whether its Obama or Clinton, it doesn't really matter. However, I'm going to be bold and say that its probably not going to happen that way, and that the US will end up with the Republican John McCain as President, in a narrow win.

I think Hillary will win the Democratic nomination, and I think she will win in November as well. I know a lot of lifelong Republicans who are so fed up they are not even planning to go vote.
