Religion topics

Asked by fau 4 months ago, 9 answers.

whats up with all the religion topics, there is really no use to them, I mean I get things for like bible study, but questioning others religions is just useless, and rude. Why do people feel the need to question others beleifs?

lol because they believe they're right
I personally respect anyone's beliefs and religions and find it good to learn about other beliefs.
I hate being ignorant towards others.
and it really annoys me when someone is questioning my faith or religion.

I Know.
I Dont Have A Religion Because Of It.
But I Still Get Questions.
Especially The "YOUR AN ATHEIST?!" .-. I Just Reply With A 'Sh*t Naw! >0"
Im Half Atheist I Dont Believe In Hell.
I Dont Believe In Satan.
Well, My Point Is.
People Are Always Going To Ask About Others Beliefs No Matter What.

learning is hardly rude... people want to know more about how other people think, that's better than sitting in the dark making assumptions about what other people think or do...

but theres learning..
and then theres sayin things like, for example-"wait...u believe in more than 1 god?? y?? thats stupid! theres only one god duhhh" - thats what id find annoying.
this - " oh so you believe in more than 1 god? thats interesting..so tell me about your beliefs im really curious to know" - is learning

I've found myself getting caught up in it but I've been doing better lately. A kinder, gentler me. I'm Agnostic so I don't think one way or the other on the subject but the people who try to push their religion on me, get me riled up. . .and that makes me mad.

Isn't this a wierd thing. I took this picture about 15 years ago, I guess. It's in Rockingham, N.C. It's probably gone now but I always thought it was very interesting. I woder what it was?

...the simple answer is, that most people don't separate their religious beliefs from their political actions. If I want you to act in my interests, it helps if you hold the same beliefs as me - or at least are not intolerant of them.

I'll ask you back: Why should religious belief get special treatment? Most people have no trouble challenging peoples' beliefs and positions on practically any other topic. What makes religion different?
