Relationship-taking a break

if your taking a break in your relationship. Does that give permission to see other people? Or is that cheating?

then you have permission to see other people, if you don't want to you don't have to because you'll know that you are getting back with your ex. don't let him use you though. he may be just trying to see if he could find someone he likes better and if not he'll come back to you.

it depends, you have to discuss it with your partner and come to an agreement to either see other people or still stay committed.

when I asked him if we're still together he said,
not as of yet...but we wll be!...

it seems like he wants you to still stay faithful to him, which is ok, just make sure he still stays faithful to you then

but he has been telling people that he is single and looking...so I don't know what to do

Here is what I have learned about guys (among loads other things) Whenever a guy wants to "take a break" from the relationship, what hes essentially saying is, "he no longer wants to be with you". You are nothing more than a back up to him in case someone better doesnt come along. He may still have some feelings for you, but it really doesnt mean anything if hes not willing to be with you. You'd be a fool to play the game, and wait around for him to come back, which usually doesnt happen. Guys who cant make a CLEAN break from a girl in my opinion, is very cowardly. You need to go out, date other guys, have fun with your friends, and treat it as if you arent together anymore (because your not) If he ever wants to hang out, try not to, or treat him ONLY as a FRIEND, otherwise hes going to know he has total control over you, and hes knows he pretty much has you exactly where he wants you...within arms length! No matter what, you need to show him that you are so much better than to be his "side dish", and to be there whenever the time suits him. Take control of your own life.
