Is it normal to have redness around a new piercing?

hi I went and got my labret pierced yesterday and I've been following all instructions but on the outside of my lip is a little red around the piercing it does not hurt or anything it just itches a little due to healing ... is it normal to have a little redness with a new piercing like thia

Yep, completely normal.
Your actually lucky, when I got mine, my whole lip was swelled up for like a week. I thought it was infected but it wasn't thank goodness. I'm just sensitive.

100% fine. just keep cleaning it when you are supposed to and your good
