There are lots of portable digital music players out there. Pick one with the features you like.

As much as I've been an Apple basher over the years I have to admit that I really like my iPod nano. It is tiny (and the newest model is even thinner), it sounds good, and its controls are logical and easy to use.

The thing I don't like about iPods is that they are basically disposable. You use it for a year or two until the battery quits holding a charge then it cost a good portion of the price of a new one to replace the battery. Apple expects you to buy a new iPod every year or two. If Apple made the iPod such that it wasn't difficult to replace the battery I'd consider it almost perfect. Of course it is in their interest to force consumers to upgrade to the latest and greatest model every year or two.

Because you can go to the gym and tune into the TV's there with your ipod and listen to whatever show is on. Sometimes watching the Simpson's passes workout time better than listening to an album.

Because you can go to the Gym and listen to your favorite songs, without all that crumy music in the Gym. You can take it anywhere. I have 5 I-pods. It's because I won them all. 2 Videos, 2 Nanos, 1 shuffle.

I use a SanDisk 2GB MP3 player. I have it for when I ride my bike or cut the grass, Stuff like that. I have a external hard drive for storage so I don't use it for that and as far as social status goes I don't really have any friends so I don't have anyone to impress. I would like to get a bigger player, like the 8GB Nano just because I don't like to have to delete something every time I find new music.

I personaly dont own one! I find it a waste of money! I mean there are radios in cars....even music on phones (ring back tones) then music on tv and I mean how do you learn the new types of music if your listing to all the old ones on your ipod? or mp3? I don't care for them!

I listen to so many different genres, so I need all that high storage. It's also reliable.
