You can, if they don't keep a database of those kinds of things at the school. However, with the internet & term papers, research papers, etc, only a few clicks away, it HAS to be harder to cheat now than it was 10 years ago when I was in college.

If you modify it "enough"..then it might work, HOWEVER, I'd strongly recommend against anything that might come close to cheating, simply because if you get caught, the downside (expulsion, repeat class, F, etc) is far worse than the extra (what, 3-6 hours?) you'd spend doing the work.

Yes, you definitely can. I've done it. Use a thesaurus to modify the wording, modify some of the sentences too. Add some additional details throughout the paper and switch some of the paragraphs around. Also modify your introductory paragraph and conclusion. You should be all good to go. Modifying and making changes will take less time than writing an actual paper. Just ensure that your paper follows the guidelines and questions raised in the assignment. You DEFINITELY should do the work and earn the self respect..However, it's summer and I probably wouldn't have wanted to do it either back in college. LOL Good luck!

You know right from wrong - it would be a lie - you're presenting it as a 'new' work..it isn't..take care !!

you are asking if it is ok to be be sneaky and hand in previously written work and claim it as work you just now did.
Sort of falls along the lines of the woman who makes rice krispie treats and acts as though she slaved all day to make them.
You really need to put forth the effort into the report which is due and in the end, you will be thankful you did and proud of your end result because you worked hard on it.

Times must have changed more than I thought! When I took English 101 it wasn't anything like English 102 and the same term paper wouldn't have worked for both of them. However, I did use the exact same term paper for a Nutrition class and my Chemistry class but the stupid instructor in Nutrition, who was nothing more than a registerd Dietitian, gave me a "C" and my Chemistry Professor who had a doctors degree, gave me an "A", on the same paper word for word. I think you could do it if you have a different instructor but if you get a lower grade than before you can't complain to anyone.

Depends what kind of college/university is it... like if its real strict and stuff like that.. or how flexible is your current/becoming teacher/prof.

No, but it's your education. You see, ther's this thing called plagerism. And, yes, resubmitting the same work IS just THAT. Best advice, talk w/ your professor and be truthful about what you are trying to do. The one to "do it till you get busted", is about as childish as, "mommy said I could, so there".
If you're going after an adult education, you get out of it what you put into it. Remember too, there are consequences for taking shortcuts in college.
