Quick grammar lesson

Okay, for all of you who don't know...

"your" is used for ownership. (your house [the house belongs to you], your car [the car belongs to you], etc.)
"you're" is the short for "you are" (you're nice [you are nice], you're smart...

[you are smart], etc.)

"there" indicates a place (over there, behind there)
"their" is used to show ownership (their house, their car)
"they're" is short for "they are" (they're nice, they're smart)

So please people...GET IT RIGHT! It's a grammar freak's worst nightmare...
And yes, I am a grammar freak. =P

The way you speak says a lot about you; it's like a first impression. Your word choice, your grammar, and the things you say can all help or hurt that impression.

=P

KUDOS!!!
I hate when people don't use proper grammer. I agree, it does say a lot about someone. I hate even more when people don't use proper punctuation, and go a whole paragraph without using a single period. YIKES!

Also, PLEASE refrain from using the Caps Lock key, It's like screaming your question.
And no Leetspeak.

I won't read questions written like that.

Same here. I'm a freak when it comes to grammar mistakes. It drives me absolutely crazy when people can't get the (their, there, they're) or the (your, you're) correct.

thetifftaff, it's not a question. That's why I didn't put a question mark after it.

my favorite is when someone tries to insult another person's intelligence and uses the wrong form or "you're" .

example: ""Your Stupid!""

...eh sorry no... YOU'RE stupid.

"Here" and "hear" bother me too.

Like when someone says "I couldn't here him" or "It's right hear".

And then there is the ever popular misuse of TO, TOO, & TWO.

Fun!

I find it annoying how some people somehow manage to get 'ask' and 'tell' mixed up.

Please remember to check your spelling, after it is also a very important part of the English language just like grammar is.
