Purity

Hey well I was on Myspace when I stated that this year I'm just going to be PURE this senior year in High School.
But my Best Friend took it too seriously stating that I don't know what "pure" really means. So she wrote in her Bulletin that losing your...

virginity isn't a bad thing. But mind you I wasn't directing it to anyone. It was just my opinion, it's my decis ion of whatever I want to do with my life.
Some people think it's funny that I'm a Virgin but then I'm like that's nothing to laugh about. It's just like Russell Brand poking fun at the Jonas Brothers just because they wear Purity Rings. I'm not saying that losing your virginity with someone you love is a bad thing but other people decide whether they want to have sex or not. I was just stating that not every girl wants to be a slut and losing it to any they want when there isn't no connection and they just do it for fun.
Right now I'm figuring out a way to apologize to her about what I said and that I didn't mean no harm to her when I wasn't directing it to her or anyone else. So I need some helpful advice to go about apologizing to her, Can anyone be so kind to give me some advice???

Be straight with her. Tell her that everything you said came out the wrong way and you're sorry about it.

Then maybe you can explain to her (nicely) that you've made a choice to stay a virgin for now and it would mean a lot to you if she could respect that.
