Psychology major in college?

I was looking at colleges for a psychology major but it usually says Psychology- General. l want to go into child, teen, and family therapy. I know there are specific ones for that but can l do the same thing at the colleges where it says general...

psychology? lf not does that mean l would do that college first then go into it at another one?

Why don't you go talk to a advisor at a college your intrested in?

Advisor-small

You need a Bachelor's degree first... You cant practice counseling without atleast a masters degree...
and then you have several options after you get your bachelors in whatever...
masters in marriage and family counseling
masters in mental health counseling,
phd in counseling psychology
phd in clinical psychology - focus on children
psyd - doctor of psychology - focus on children
