it would be better to know you age
if your under 16-18
perhaps wait a bit for you body to learn to repair infections and stuff
the mouth is pretty clean but its also full of thousands of germs
and tounge peircings do get infected
id say wait a bit if your under those ages
if not...have a think about it
you could also be allergic to titanium,
or something they use ot something thats in the jewelrey
and thats why it got infected

Im 16 in a week, when I had my lobes pierced the first time, the earings weren't gold, thats why the infection was so bad, but the other two times, I've had it done with gold earings.

Prone to infection, should I get my tongue pierced?
I have had my lobes pierced 3 times, and each time it had gotten infected, the first time was really bad, and that was put down to the earing used, the second and third times weren't as bad but there was still infection, despite cleaning it as...
recommended. also whe I stretched my ears they got infected. I wanted to get my belly button pierced, but changed my mid, because I didn't want to risk infection. my friend who had had her tongue pierced 8 times, recommended it because apparently the mouth is so clean. should I risk it???
