Promise ring

What is a promise ring... Like would it resemble a engagment ring? Does it have diamonds? If you can just give me a brief description please...also what hand would the promise ring go on?

a promise ring is technically anything you want it to be. it depends on your tastes and the tastes of the person you're giving it to. one of my friends gave his girlfriend a silver band with a vine pattern etched into it as a promise ring...another of my friends recieved a rpomise ring that was made of gold with a setting of small half carat diamonds around it...the appearance is up to you...I have another set of friends who I thought had the best idea...they both got silver bands and had abolane shell placed all the way around the band, since they met at the beach...

A promise ring means that they promise to one day ask you to marry them. My boyfriend and I looked at promise rings and the ones I liked said the couples names had each of their birthstone and on the band said Always & Forever.

a promise ring goes on your ring finger of your left hand...the promise ring is a sign of devotion to you and the person who gives it to you...it's saying "one day we'll be married."

Actually a true promise ring, is given to a friend or a loved one. You are not suppose to buy it for yourself. It's a sign that says they'll be loyal to you always, they care for you and so forth, it's not an engagement ring or anything of that sort. I've worked in a jewelery store and I learned a lot about the rings. You also wear it different ways. Face the crown towards you, with the heart and hands out, your single. Face the hands and heart towards you, your taken.
