Problem with memory sticks

Do you know how to remove write-protection on a memory stick? I wrote essays and tried to save them in it. But it says it's write protected so I couldn't save. Any advice?

Does it have a little switch on it; one that says "lock" or similar?

yeah. does yours have a tiny switch on it. if it does, switch it to the other side and save. it should work
