Want to stop playing wow with my dad

My kitty. Asked by violetstar 2 months ago, 4 answers.

My dad and I both play world of warcraft, an online game. It's very fun and interesting but lately I've been loosing interest and want to quit. My dad pays for it for me, which is very generous, a $30 bill each month is a lot. He is still very interested in the game, and as I said I'm quickly loosing interest after 1 year of play. This game is how I communcate with him, since he does not live in my household. I don't want to hurt his feelings or make him feel he wasted his money. At the same time I want to stop playing. How can I tell him?

I love world of warcraft lolz.
I'm not sure how I would go about quiting but maybe if you tell him you need some time to catch up on homework or something and then when you come back you'll find it more interesting. or try something new! world of warcraft has endless things to do and if u've only played a year you probably haven't found everything. try a new type of character. try being the opposite faction. try going to a new place, new battlegrounds, try pvp in battle arenas. go dig up something new! maybe you'll find more interest.

Lying is never the way to go. I would try to find a solution to where you guys can still connect and talk and things but you need to tell him how you feel about the game and him.

Lying to him will only make him think up solutions to problems that do not exist.

I would talk to him and explain that as you are maturing you aren't interested in the game any more and need to devote more time to other things.

I assume that the two of you have email contact. Accordingly I would keep in constant email contact with him and include in your emails news of things that interest you and occupy your time. You might think they are boring but I'm sure he would be very interested and appreciative.

maybe you could suggest a different activity that the two of you could do together. That way, you won't feel so bored, but you and your dad can still have time to spend together.
