Pregnancy and birth control??

I recently got my birth control switched because while I was on the other pills my period always came early or I wouldn't get it. The ones I am on right now, my sister is on the same ones and the doctor told her the pills are good if you want to skip...

your period. So I tried it and just contuied on with the next pack..and now with a week left of this pack I am starting to spot..and my boobs hurt really bad and they grew..all of my bras are gettin a lil small..I'm not sure if it's ok that I am spotting with a week still left of the pills. The doctor told me last time that if you spot while your on birth control you could be pregnant.
