Moto razr z3 won't let me use buttons

Ok so I have a Moto rizr z3 and I am all about the itap thing the t9 thing watever it is but my phone is being gay and won't let me use is like I'll press buttons but nothing happens!!! Its pissing me the f*ck off!!!

My razr does that once in awhile too. Turn it off then take the battery out for a minute. Put it back in and turn the phone back on. When I do this mine works fine.
