Pay phone not cell phone!

When you call a pay phone from your house does it ring on the other side I mean can some random person just pick up the phone? Can some one try this for me ether that or someone that knows? But try it from a house phone I think all you have to do is have caller id call your house with the pay phone get the number and have a friend stand by the phone with a cell phone in her or his hand to tell you whats going on and then have the house phone call the pay phone and see if it rings!! Will someone please try this even is somebody already gives and knows the answer? Thanx!

If you call the correct number for the pay phone, from any phone, it will ring - anyone can answer...Take care !!

I did that with my schools pay phone..lol. I would call it all the time...and now they took the pay phones away...lol...

When I was a kid, I know it used to work that way, because we used to crank call pay phones. I don't know if it still works.

Sometimes it works, but then people without phones started using them instead of getting phones. So the phone company rigged most of 'em so you can't dial a pay phone and must instead pay $$$ to get their 'plans'!

of course it works. I actualy picked one up. it was hilarious. yeah... and now random people call me everyday
