Need help with moving, please help

Asked by fau 4 months ago, 1 answer.

Okay, so my situation is that I live with my mom, little sister, and grandpa. I've lived in my house my whole life, and being 16.. that really sucks. We're all tired of it and want a change. The reason my grandpa is living with us is because he keeps...

getting sick and nursing homes are like $4,000 a month and since we only have one income, it's hard to pay for. But we found a house we really like and it's only big enough for me and my mom and my sister. It's within our price range too. But our house isn't going to be worth that much because it needs a lot of repair because it's aged a lot over the years. We need new paint, carpet,, sinks and tile. We're guessing it'll be around $5,000 to fix it up. Since our house isn't on the market we're afraid that someone else will buy the house we want. Could we get a contendancy (sp?) contract till it's up for sale? But how can we get motivated to get it all done? It's been a problem because my mom works all day, and my sister figure skates all day. So it's all been put on me, and I can't handle packing everything by myself):

What should I do?

Talk to the real astate agent that s selling the house and say you are interested in it but need your haouse on the market first and see what she says about that.

It may be time that your grandfather moves out, nursing homes are a lot of money but it may be right, doe the other house have a basement or attic you could renovate into his bedroom?

Also, it will be a lot of work for you, but you need to stay strong somethign good might come out of doing all the work...like maybe you get to choose your room first or something. Get your friends to help, it will be fun bonding with them, even if it is cleaning and packing.

Play music when you are doing it and start room by room. I am sorry I am not the best motivator but YOU can do it!!! Just stay focused on what you need to do!!! It may be fun, you never know. And maybe your family could help on weekends or do their own rooms.
