I think so, it doesn't sound like it is girly or anything. It's not like your naming him Maggie or something lol.

Just say his real name is Indigo, but we call him Indie. I don't think their is anything wrong with it. Call him Indy 500...lol...

You can name him anything you like. There are no set rules about that and the dog won't care what you call him as long as you don't call him late for dinner. Sorry, an old joke, lol.
